Parenting is a Lifestyle

Nurturing Parents is a philosophy. A philosophy is a set of beliefs that provide the basis for specific behaviors. Parent education is a family experience. The most critical aspect of nurturing is “Empathy”. Empathy is the ability to “tune into” the thoughts and feelings of another person.

Quality Time

Quality time is the basis for discipline. Discipline means to “teach”. In this program families will learn the importance of developing family morals, values, and rules; the use of rewards and punishments to reinforce positive behaviors and alternatives to spanking, hitting, yelling at children.

Family Functioning

In this program families will learn how to communicate with each other as a family along with mom and dad’s communication skills to each other. It is important to be “open to change” and parents will learn to work together as a team. When parents communicate well, children will learn by your example.
