Testimonials

See what our volunteers and students say about GRIP!

"My name is Shawn Brinager. I am beyond blessed to be a part of GRIP. I have been honored to share my testimonial on a few occasions for GRIP. With each time, I've learned more about myself and how much this program has become a big part of my heart. There is no mistake that I ended up in this specific parenting class, after the first two I signed up for fell through. This faith-based parenting class helped me become a better partner, parent, friend, and human being. Above all else, it brought me closer to God, and in doing so, saved my life. By helping me in my darkest times, GRIP helped directly change the lives of 8 children. Please consider donating and helping!"

"GRIP (God Raising Incredible Parents) is all about keeping families together forever. I support this organization’s mission and I want it to have a greater impact on the community. Please donate as it will better our parents and children in our community! We all need education and we all could use teaching techniques when it comes to parenting especially when it comes to the Lord."

Tara Trawick

Administrative Manager for GRIP

"I first heard about Grip "God Raising Incredible Parents" when I was working as an Addiction Counselor at the Bradenton Bridge & I immediately started asking the Ladies all about it! Every one of them had nothing but good things to say about GRIP! I immediately met the Director of GRIP and told her I wanted to be a part of it! GRIP is something I wish I had had as a young mother! I have seen both Mother's and Father's get custody of their children back! I have been facilitating GRIP for about 3 years now & I felt I would always teach women but God opened up the door for my husband and I to facilitate the men this last session! I love GRIP!"

"Ten years ago, when the Lord told me I would be working with single moms and their children, I never imagined where he would lead me. Working with GRIP, and teaching these moms how to parent their children has been the most rewarding experience for me. To touch each woman with a personal testimony of my own, and have them react with such love and enthusiasm has been such a blessing for me. This is an amazing program and organization and I urge you to please donate to GRIP, God raising incredible parents."

"Hi, my name is MaryAnn Couvertier "Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering." -Hebrews 13:3 I am happy to participate in "The Giving Challenge". I am blessed to serve by volunteering with GRIP, God Raising Incredible Parents. I feel called to serve with this organization and know that positive changes are taking place in our Community through GRIP! Thank you, Jesus!"

"Hi there. Here is my reason for serving with GRIP.

I met Linda Kelleher about six years ago and learned about her program called GRIP. I was very interested in working with her someday and fast forward about four years I had the opportunity. Prior to serving with GRIP, I have been bringing a small group into the Solve Maternity Homes in Bradenton. One of their house managers encouraged the director to consider GRIP. When they asked me if I would like to be involved I was so excited. Not only was I familiar with the parenting program but I also have a relationship with the Solve moms. I had been a single mom for a few years when my children were very small so I felt like I could connect with the ladies. I love that as the semester goes on we all get to know each other better and we learn from one another."

"I volunteer with GRIP Ministry because I believe in fresh starts and second chances (and third, and fourth, etc). I have seen the parenting classes teach the tools that the students need to parent effectively. Many of these students have not had role models or mentors to show them the way that God intends us to raise our children. Successful reunification of families is a beautiful life-changing event that can happen if we all work together!"

"Hi, my name is Carmen Lanius Stilwell and I am so blessed to serve with GRIP ministries ❤️ This program is absolutely life-changing to the students as well as us facilitators. I serve in the women’s pods at Manatee County Jail. I can’t explain how wonderful it is to share hope and Jesus through this faith-based parenting class with these women. Helping to reunify families and building relationships with our students is a blessing. Please consider donating and helping this amazing ministry."
